Concerning over the Mitte District Order to Remove the Berlin Statue of Peace/베를린 미테구의 평화비 철거 요청에 대한 우려

SOURCE: 코리아협의회/KOREAVERBAND 베를린 미테구의 평화비 철거 요청에 대한 우려 2020년 9월 28일 베를린 중앙역 근방에 평화비가 설립되자, 일본 외무성은 다양성이 공존하는 베를린에 평화비 설치는 적절하지 않다고 주장하였습니다 [1] . 일본 정부의 직접적인 항의가 일어나자 10월 7일 베를린 미테구는 급작스럽게 평화비 철거를 시민사회단체에게 요구하였습니다. 미테구의 평화비 철거 요청은 전쟁범죄의 역사를 지우고 역사수정주의자들의 폭력에 굴복하는 행위입니다. 나치 돌격대가 유대인들을 공격했던 수정의 밤(Kristallnacht)을 입 밖으로 꺼내지 않고 침묵을 지키던 사람들도, 홀로코스트 사실을 수면 위로 올린 사람들 모두 독일인이라는 사실을 기억합니다. 메르켈 총리는 유대인 홀로코스트에 대해 “우리는 희생자들을 위해, 또한 우리 자신을 위해, 그리고 미래 세대를 위해 이를 기억하겠다”고 발언한 바 있습니다 [2] . 평화비는 일본군 성노예제문제해결과 성폭력 없는 세상, 평화로운 세상을 위해 외친 운동의 역사를 기리는 기림비인 동시에, 여성인권과 평화의 상징이며, 세계 시민들의 연대의 결실입니다. 2020년 9월 베를린에 세워진 평화비에는 이를 위한 지역 사회와 국제사회의 노력이 녹여있습니다. 더군다나 2015년 한일합의는 피해생존자의 존재를 무시하고, 일본 정부의 책임을 과소화하며, 일본 역사수정주의자들의 공격을 용인하는 정치적 타협물입니다. 유엔 여성차별철폐위원회, 인권이사회, 인종차별철폐위원회 등의 국제기구는 합의에 문제가 있다는 점을 이미 여러 차례 권고한 바 있습니다. 미테구의 평화와 정의를 위한 현명한 결정을 기대합니다. 또한 이번을 계기로 2차 세계대전에서 일어난 성폭력과 성착취 사실이 다시 한 번 논의되고, 그동안 주목받지 못했던 여성들의 이야기가 다시 들리기를 바랍니다. 2020年9月28日にベルリンの中央駅近くに平和の碑が設立されると、日本の外務省は多様性が共存するベルリンに平和の碑が設置されるのは適切ではないと主張しました [3] 。日本政...
